Creating In AI is Sean Dinwoodie’s attempt to answer a question he couldn’t stop asking himself: if AI is going to change film and broadcast production this much, shouldn’t the people already working in it be the ones figuring out how — instead of finding out the hard way?
Sean has spent twenty years in film, TV, and broadcast production. He’s done nearly every job on a set except hair and makeup: public-access TV back in middle school, live event production for stages like Tony Robbins and Brendon Burchard, camera work covering the Olympics, and producing the theatrically-released feature I’m in Love with a Church Girl, which made it onto more than 450 screens. Today he’s the lead director at WACH Fox 57 in Columbia, SC, and co-runs a separate production company, Everlasting Entertainment, with his wife.
He’s also been a tech nerd since the Commodore 64 and BBS days, so when generative AI showed up in the production world, curiosity won out over dread. Creating In AI is where that curiosity gets pointed at something useful: real tools, tested honestly, explained the way you’d explain them to a colleague at the monitor — not a hype reel, not a doom spiral.
This isn’t a guru account. Sean is still learning plenty of this himself, in public, mistakes included. The credibility here comes from two decades of actually working on sets and in control rooms — not from claiming to have AI all figured out.
Some of the video content on this site and its social channels uses an AI-generated likeness/voice of Sean (built with his consent, for his own brand) — that’s disclosed wherever it’s used, because a site aimed at production professionals should hold itself to the standard it’s asking everyone else to adopt.
