The tools used to make this AI series are already out of date. And the series just came out.
A follow-up to my earlier post on "Castle Walls", Prime Video's first fully AI-generated series, from Ay Yapım/AI Yapım. Here's how they actually built it: ChatGPT for writing and prompts, MidJourney for early visuals, their own storyboard system, their own video model AYDNA (trained only on their own licensed footage), then Runway, Google's Nano Banana, Veo, Kling, and ComfyUI to generate and finish the shots.
Real people still built this, real writers, real hand-drawn sketches before any model touched it, real human dub actors, not cloned.
Here's the detail that actually matters: episode one was built shot-by-shot with an older technique called inpainting. By episode two, newer generative tools had already shipped, so they switched, mid-production. The show's own two episodes are already a time capsule of tool turnover.
And that was the fast version. The original trailer went up almost a year before the show even premiered. I put the two official videos side by side in this one, you can see the difference yourself.
Does watching the tools change mid-production change how you think about this?
